Team Sauber Petronas continued its final three-day pre-season test at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola today. Nick Heidfeld in chassis 01 covered 81 laps to set a best time of 1:23.396. Heinz-Harald Frentzen in chassis 02 ran 87 laps with a fastest time of 1:23.414.

Jacky Eeckelaert (Head of Vehicle Engineering):

"Like yesterday the weather and track conditions have been good today and we have been able to continue our test programme as scheduled. Based on the brake material and brake cooling data which could be gathered yesterday we were able to make the right choice today. We ran over a complete race distance in order to best prepare the cars for Melbourne. This also helped to adjust the particular set-up of the different components and we further worked on Bridgestone data. We have done well today and I am satisfied with the results we could gather."

Heinz-Harald Frentzen:

"Our test programme today basically comprised a full race distance run. The gained information will particularly help us in view of Australia. Once again we had a good and reliable day of testing."

Nick Heidfeld:

"In the morning I had minor problems with the car and could not run many laps. But in the afternoon the car was fine and I covered a full race distance too. I am confident that the gathered data will further help us to be best prepared for the season's start."
