Sauber is the first team to announce a launch date for 2004. The Swiss squad will present the C23 on Monday January 12th, at Red Bull's Hangar-7 in Salzburg, Austria.

Sauber's drivers for 2004 will be Brazilian Felipe Massa and Italian Giancarlo Fisichella. Massa previously drove for Sauber in 2002 and spent 2003 as test driver for Ferrari. Fisichella drove for Jordan the last two years.

The C23 is due to take to the test track in mid January and Sauber's new wind tunnel should be completed in February. In 2003, with Nick Heidfeld and Heinz-Harald Frentzen, the team finished sixth in the constructors' championship.
