Renault celebrates its F1 titles at the 2006 Race of the Champions
Renault will be at the Stade de France on December 16th.
On December 16th, Renault will celebrate its 2006 FIA F1 World Championship titles at the Stade de France in Paris during the "Race Of Champions" meeting.
Renault has played a major role in the event in recent seasons. The 2004 event saw a youthful Heikki Kovalainen, then a promising member of the Renault Driver Development programme, beat Michael Schumacher to the overall title. In 2005, Renault became the first compant to run a Formula 1 car in the Stade de France, with a live demonstration of the F1 challenger. And for 2006, Renault has bigger and better in store!
First and foremost, every champion at the Stade de France will be driving a Renault! The Renault Megane Trophy will be the vehicle of choice for the finals of both the Nations' Cup and the Race of Champions -- which will see Heikki Kovalainen, among others, competing for overall honours.
What's more, the Renault F1 Team will conduct another spectacular demonstration of F1 performance within the spectacular stadium. Both Heikki Kovalainen, 2007 race driver for the double world champions, and Jonathan Cochet, the Renault F1 Team's Roadshow driver, will aim to bring the house down with demonstrations of Renault's championship-winning F1 car.
Renault hopes to see you there on Saturday, 16 December at the Stade de France, to round off a year full of success and emotion in real style!
