Red Bull has revealed the livery its new RB12 challenger will sport during the 2016 Formula 1 season.

The Milton Keynes-based team has opted to go with a darker blue for the body, but with a bigger presence of the energy drinks company's name following the end of its partnership with Infiniti.

The car's sidepods, which were occupied by Infiniti's logos last year, now sport Red Bull's own branding.

"The new livery looks good, the car looks amazing," said Daniel Ricciardo during the launch event in London.

"Obviously for us as drivers we’re more concerned about how it performs on track, but as long as it looks good that’s important as well.

"It looks good, the kit is cool – we got the whole stampede camo look, which is pretty funky. Hopefully it means some good results for 2016."

"With a clean sheet of paper this year we were able to go with something a bit more innovative and aggressive, with a fresh feel to it – something that will stand out in the crowd, and hopefully stand out in the drivers' mirrors as well," added team boss Christian Horner.

Red Bull's new single-seater will be powered by Renault engines again, but re-badged as TAG Heuer, which has left McLaren to join the energy drinks company's squad.

The RB12 will be rolled out in the Barcelona pitlane when testing kicks off next Monday.
