McLaren appeared to return to form today after an unsettled time in testing recently. On a wet track, Kimi Raikkonen set the best time of the day's test at Valencia, both he and Jaguar's Mark Webber beating Juan Pablo Montoya's lap record of yesterday.

In the McLaren MP4-19 Raikkonen's new record was 1:09.001, a tenth quicker than Montoya, and Webber was a tenth shy of the McLaren with 1:09.096, just seven thousandths quicker than Juan Pablo. The second McLaren of David Coulthard was fifth fastest.

Webber and teammate Christian Klien, 11th and last on the time sheet, continued with aerodynamics and tyres and Klien also completed and endurance run. The pair racked up over 250 laps between them.

The Williams duo of Ralf Schumacher and Montoya were third and fourth respectively, Montoya carrying out a race simulation and Ralf working on set up, tyres and traction control.

BAR again fielded three cars, race drivers Takuma Sato and Jenson Button sixth and seventh respectively, and test driver Anthony Davidson ninth. Toyota tester Ricardo Zonta finished eighth ahead of Cristiano da Matta, tenth.
