Felipe Massa's manager has denied rumours that the Brazilian could be replaced at Sauber before the end of this season. Speculation had it that Massa would be ousted from the team before the Hungarian Grand Prix to make way for a more experienced driver -- Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who seems to have been linked with most of the grid recently, was one name mentioned to step into Massa's seat.

Riccardo Tedeschi, who looks after Massa's career, said the unfounded rumour sprang from a Swiss publication being misquoted elsewhere: "They didn't translate the entire conversation between the journalist and Peter Sauber," Tedeschi said. "Mr. Sauber explained that (signing Frentzen) would create a difficult situation inside the team. Actually, he denied the story."

Sauber has an option for Massa next year but it has yet to be picked up. Tedeschi commented that other teams were also interested in the young Brazilian: "I don't need to tell the names," he said. "You just take a look at the market and you will see which ones I'm talking about."

Massa himself seems to be unconcerned about his future: "I'm absolutely relaxed," he remarked. "'I'm sure I'm doing a good job in my first year in F1."
