The talent and determination of the Jordan driver shone through once again as his superb driving behind the wheel of the JJ15B in the damp conditions netted him an eighth placed finish.

Tiago had his eye on the race without putting too much importance to qualifying, especially with the forecasted wet conditions, a risky tactic that paid off and not only netted him another point, but also saw him extend his record with 16 consecutive race finishes!

"This result is very important for me and the team. We could not have done any better under these conditions and drew the most from what we had available to us and the circumstances on the day, "Tiago smiled.

"The choice of intermediate tyres was a good one and we stuck by it. The track was never dry enough to plan on switching to dry tyres and if we have sometimes suffered from a lack of competitiveness with our tyres, it is necessary now to underline the excellence of Bridgestone."

"I am delighted to have been able to fight with Jacques Villeneuve, the Williams of Webber and the BAR Honda of Button during the race to have been able to prove that we are able to obtain such an excellent result!"
