Williams wants to be the main challenger to Ferrari for both the driver and the constructors championship this season. They know that one way to do that is to stay in front of McLaren. Williams has the initiative after the first two races. Coming off their one-two finish in Malaysia, they are on top of the championship standings for the first time since 1977.

McLaren, on the other hand, does not want to be in a chase for third and even though disappointed from the results in Malaysia, they are still upbeat from Kimi Raikkonen's third place in Australia. With the season in the early stages, McLaren is still looking for positive results.

"I know we have a package which is capable of winning races, but we just need a bit of reliability. In my mind, I am taking my helmet and I am smashing it around the garage," said David Coulthard.

The first two races have proven that Ferrari still dominates even with last year's car. Ferrari does not plan to give Williams or McLaren a chance to take the title from them.

The early predictions stating that Williams would be the main competitor for the title has already been demonstrated -- the question now is will McLaren prove they are a contender at Brazil.
