The next generation adds another prestigious name -- Lauda -- to the list of current "following in dad's footsteps" drivers.
Matthias Lauda, 20, resides in Spain has and recently stated his intention of racing in the Spanish national F3 class. Young Lauda realizes and admits that 'matching his father's record is not going to be easy,' but is willing to grab the opportunity to try and he hopes to eventually race Formula One.
Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve were the first ones to reach the pinnacle where their famous dad's left their mark. Recently Tomas Scheckter has made a name for himself in Open Telefonica series and Nelson A. Piquet has won races in the South American F3 Championship. Young Nico Rosberg and Stefano Fabi have been competing in the World FSA karting championship.
