Felipe Massa is looking forward to his return to the Granja Viana 500 Mile in November this year, a race that he says has rough competition. The event takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Massa won the race the first time it was staged in 1997. The now ex-Sauber driver will be joining the Tic-Tac team along with Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello.

"Racing in Granja Viana is great fun," Massa said. "Of course, there is the

competition side, which is very rough indeed, but the cool thing about it is the friendly atmosphere. Everybody is out there to win. However the pressure is quite lower than in the regular series. I'm really looking forward to coming back to Granja Viana."

Massa's Formula One future is unknown since Sauber replaced him with Heinz-Harald Frentzen for 2003. Sauber have offered Massa a test driver's role but the Brazilian is still searching for a race seat. Barrichello recently praised Massa in F1 Racing magazine and the younger Brazilian was grateful for his support.

"Rubens has a lot of experience and knows everything about Formula One. I'm thankful for his kind words," Massa said. "I'm of course very pleased. He didn't even need to say all of this so I find him a nice person. He gave me all the support in my first year in F1."
