Christian Klien recently said that his F1 future was not definite just because Red Bull has bought Jaguar, but it appears the 21 year-old Austrian will get a second chance. Dietrich Mateschitz, owner of Red Bull, has been quoted as saying Klien will get the opportunity to drive with the new racing team.

"Christian Klien will get an offer from us," said Mateschitz, according to German newspaper Bild am Sonntag. "He has earned the chance of a second year."

Klien will test this week for Red Bull at Barcelona, along with F3000 champion Vitantonio Liuzzi and previous Jaguar test driver Bj?rn Wirdheim. Liuzzi seems likely to join the team in either a race or test seat.

Mateschitz is also interested in Nick Hiedfeld, who will try out for Williams at the beginning of December. "Heidfeld I think highly of," he said. "But BMW also has an interest in him." Mateschitz added that David Coulthard did not figure in Red Bull's plans.

Williams test driver Antonio Pizzonia is the favourite to get the Grove squad's race seat but nothing is definite. Meanwhile, the team's other test driver, Marc Gene, looks likely to join Ferrari.
