Ralph Firman and Giancarlo Fisichella completed a two-day two-car test on 4 and 5 June at Silverstone. The test itinerary included Cosworth engine development, control systems tests, gearbox work, aerodynamic comparisons and Bridgestone's tyre test programme. Firman (chassis EJ13-03) completed 80 laps and Fisichella (chassis EJ13-02) 120 laps.

Gary Anderson, Director of race and test engineering:

"Our first day was hampered a bit by weather but we were able to complete a lot of productive work during the course of the test, particularly with regards to tyre testing although we are testing with track temperatures of 15 degrees as opposed to 35 degrees so it different from the conditions at a number of races."

"Our development programme is progressing and at this test we have been optimising that. To date we have concentrated on small things, trimming devices specifically for individual races, but we are looking at an aerodynamic development update for later in the season. We are pushing to make it happen as soon as we possibly can."
