Bridgestone is pleased to partner the Federation Internationale de I'Automobile (FIA) in promoting the "MAKE CARS GREEN" campaign. This campaign aims to reduce the impact of motoring on the environment by educating drivers about more environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient driver behaviour. With the cooperation of automobile clubs in each country, Bridgestone and its group companies will promote "10 points for greener motoring" throughout the world to encourage drivers to "think green" when they drive.

At the Japanese Formula One Grand Prix, which will draw the attention of millions of people worldwide, Bridgestone will highlight the aims of the "MAKE CARS GREEN" campaign. The Formula One cars will be equipped with special "MAKE CARS GREEN TYRES" which have been marked in the grooves with the campaign colour: green. As the Japanese GP requires the medium and soft compound Bridgestone dry tyres, the medium compound will have a green stripe in each of the four grooves while the soft compound will have three green stripes in grooves with the normal white line in the second from inside groove remaining.

In addition to this, the staff and affiliates of Bridgestone will wear the "MAKE CARS GREEN" wrist bands while "MAKE CARS GREEN" booklets will be handed out to people who visit Bridgestone's Event Booth at the Fuji Speedway.
