Antonio Pizzonia rounded off a productive three-day test for the Jaguar Racing team by testing different Michelin tyre compounds in Valencia, Spain. The Brazilian completed 62 laps of the circuit in setting a quickest time of 1m12.329s and expressed himself happy with his days work.

"It's good to be back in the car after last week's test session in Barcelona," commented Pizzonia. "Mark has done some pretty consistent stuff on the engine and set-up over the last couple of days and my focus today has been on tyre testing.

"I'm happy with the way things are going at the moment but we still have a lot of work to do over the next few weeks before we have an accurate picture of where we are leading up to Melbourne."

The McLaren Mercedes team once again topped the time sheets but this time it was Scotsman David Coulthard who set the quickest mark. Heinz-Harald Frentzen gave the Sauber team early encouragement by finishing second quickest ahead of McLaren tester Alexander Wurz and Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello. Michael Schumacher finished sixth quickest.
