Following the encouraging signs of yesterday, Pedro de la Rosa concluded Jaguar Racing's preparations for the Italian Grand Prix by finishing second fastest on the final morning of testing at Monza.

The Spaniard, who finished fastest of all yesterday, clocked a quickest time of 1m23.181s to finish just .119s behind Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello.

Jaguar Racing team-mate Eddie Irvine rounded off a highly promising test for the team in green by finishing fifth fastest of Friday's 14 runners, clocking a quickest time of 1m23.525s from 16 laps of the circuit.

As with the previous two days of testing, both drivers worked on testing different tyre compounds and worked on minor alterations to the set-up and balance of the car.

After Irvine's welcome points finish in Belgium last weekend, the team is confident on building on the success of Spa on a circuit even more suited to the R3's characteristics.
