The Jaguar Racing team concluded its final three-day test programme before the Australian Grand Prix with Antonio Pizzonia behind the wheel of the R4 at the Circuit de Catalunya on Friday.

With running on the previous two days hampered by heavy rainfall, Antonio had much work to fit into his day. Continuing the ongoing valuation of car set-up, tyre compounds and engine work, the Brazilian completed 68 laps of the circuit and posted a quickest lap time of 1m19.938s.

"I'm ready to start the season," commented Pizzonia. "I think we have done a really good job here because of the weather. Today I played with the set-up and I tried some qualifying runs with heavy fuel. It was so strange."

The unpredictable Catalan weather has made for a frustrating three days but the Jaguar Racing team can draw comfort from the fact that it's been the same for everybody.

Ralf Schumacher posted the quickest mark of the day in 1m17.958s to top the times ahead of Williams team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya and Jordan new boy Ralph Firman.

The Jaguar Racing team now heads to Silverstone for a one-off test next Wednesday before heading off to Australia the following week.
