After the success of Sunday's Italian Grand Prix, it was business as usual for the Jaguar Racing team who began preparations for Indianapolis with a three-day test session in Barcelona.

With Eddie Irvine taking a deserved break from testing duties, it was down to Barcelona local Pedro de la Rosa to conduct tyre evaluation and set-up work for the team today (Wednesday).

The Spaniard completed 83 trouble free laps in clocking the fourth quickest time of 1m18.830s as the McLaren of Alexander Wurz posted the quickest time for the second day running.

Williams test-driver Antonio Pizzonia finished the day second fastest in 1m17.747s and it will be interesting to see how quick the Brazilian goes tomorrow as he tries out for Jaguar Racing for the first time.

Pedro will continue duties tomorrow morning with Pizzonia taking over for the afternoon session and Friday.
