Following on the heels of Sauber, Jaguar is the next team to announce a launch date for 2004. The R5 will be presented at the Circuit de Catalunya, near Barcelona, on the 18th January.

Jaguar has yet to decide on a teammate for Mark Webber for next season; Justin Wilson will be testing for the team this winter but his continuance as a race driver in 2004 is not guaranteed. Jaguar is trying out Cristian Klien and Townsend Bell at the end of this month.

At the beginning of this year Jaguar launched the 2003 car on the internet in a bid to keep costs down but has decided on a 'real-life' event for 2004. The team finished seventh in the constructors' championship in 2003.
