Eddie Irvine has refused to discuss his future in Formula One and said people would just have to keep guessing. The Jaguar driver has been the subject of much speculation recently after Fernando Alonso tested for the team and Mark Webber is due to test with Jaguar in the near future. Jenson Button is also rumoured to be in talks with Jaguar and although Button confirmed he had been in talks with some teams, he didn't specify which ones.

All this has led to talk that Irvine is on his way out of Jagaur but the Irishman said nothing is worth discussing until he's driven the revised car, which is due for the next race, the British Grand Prix.

"The team are giving Minardi's Mark Webber a test and this has led to renewed speculation he will be replacing me next season," Irvine said in the British press. "The same story, but a different name, as appeared when Fernando Alonso had a run in the car recently. It also appears Jenson Button has had talks with Jaguar, and why not? I have heard Jenson is getting pushed out of Renault so he needs to go somewhere. I am sure he will be up and down the pit-lane trying to get in anywhere he can - it makes sense."

"Everyone in this game - drivers and teams - has to keep their options open. I feel it was a great idea for Alonso to have a run in our car because, despite being a fairly inexperienced driver, he backed up everything I had been saying about it. My teammate Pedro de la Rosa has not agreed with all my views, so it was satisfying to have an outsider confirm my feelings. As to my own future with the team, people will just have to keep on guessing. Until I've had a couple of races with the revised car, where - or even if - I will be driving next season isn't worth discussing."
