Mercedes leads the way once again in FP3.
Lewish Hamilton repeated his FP2 performance by laying down the fastest lap in the final practice ahead of qualifying, which will take place later today. He and Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg were split by the Williams of Felipe Massa who made a late charge.
Kevin Magnussen and Sergio Perez both enjoyed short tenures on top of the speed charts before Hamilton permanently took control. Hamilton's time was four tenths quicker than his closest adversary and yet, he never made a lap on the super-soft tyres. That's how hooked up the Mercedes is this weekend.
Like the practices run yesterday, there was a plethora of offs and close calls. The session was momentarily halted when Esteban Gutierrez put his Sauber into the wall, only adding to the tumultuous and agonizing season that team has been forced to endure. Marcus Ericsson also went for a spin in the Caterham but unlike Gutierrez, he was able to avoid any contact with the wall.
Qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix will take place later today.
