Motorsport.com - McLaren-Mercedes driver Mika Hakkinen was dropped back to fourth position on the starting grid for the United States Grand Prix from second due to a pit lane violation in this morning's warmup session.

The two-time World Champion exited the pit lane while the red light was on, causing the stewards to disqualify his fastest time from yesterday's qualifying session, and thus drop him back by one row on the starting grid.
