A week of testing for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro got underway today at the Fiorano circuit. Rubens Barrichello took to the track at 10h00 at the wheel of the F1-2000 used in recent testing in Barcelona. The Brazilian driver worked on electronics, also doing 9 practice starts. In addition, the team carried out 8 practice pit stops, to ensure the entire squad was up to speed in this area, as the start of the season is rapidly approaching. Testing ended at 18h00 with 52 laps completed (18 on the short version of the circuit.) The quickest lap was a 1.01.077.

Tomorrow, Ferrari will be at work on two circuits: Rubens Barrichello will be at Mugello, to continue the development of the F2001, while Fiorano sees the return to action of Luca Badoer, now recovered from the accident he suffered in Barcelona on 21st January.
