The Italian veteran told La Gazzetta dello Sport this week he is not enjoying this season with Team Lotus and "could have a look around" outside of F1 for the future.

His former boss Eddie Jordan on Saturday asked the 36-year-old if it is true Trulli has ruled out Indycar but thinks Le Mans could be a good option for 2012.

"To be honest I never said that," the veteran of approaching 250 Grands Prix said on British television BBC. "Someone just came up with that opinion.

"I've never really investigated it and I don't even know how Le Mans works, to be honest.

"(It's just) speculation," continued Trulli. "I was actually just complaining about my power steering rather than anything else."
