Bruno Senna has qualified in the top ten for Lotus Renault GP for his home Grand Prix after his 1min 13.761secs lap ended the Q3 session as the ninth fastest under skies that threatened rain at a highly charged Interlagos circuit.
Bruno negotiated his way through a difficult three qualifying sessions with the team making strategic calls based on the threat of rain, which never actually came.
Vitaly meanwhile was caught out with a lack of pace in Q2 which meant he qualified outside the top ten in 15th position with a 1min 14.053secs lap.
Pole position went to Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel with a time of 1m 11.918secs, with team-mate Mark Webber lining up alongside him for tomorrow's race. Jenson Button was third fastest for McLaren.
