Jaguar Racing got its European Grand Prix weekend up and running with its participation in the Friday morning test session at the Nurburgring, where drivers Antonio Pizzonia and Mark Webber worked through set up and tyre compound variations in preparation for practice later in the morning.

"It was a good, useful test," said Mark Gillan, the team's chief of vehicle dynamics. "The weather so far is very different to what has been forecast so we have been fine-tuning things to take account of that. Michelin have given us the choice of what seem to be two very good tyre compounds and we've been tuning the car into each of these to see exactly where we are. We feel well prepared for practice."

Both Webber and Pizzonia completed over 30 laps, with the former recording the third fastest time of the session and the latter fifth quickest. No reliability problems were encountered.
