The 2003 Jordan EJ13 had its first taste of the track yesterday when it rolled out at Silverstone in the UK. There has been no official comment from Jordan regarding the event but Giancarlo Fisichella was behind the wheel of the new car -- given that he's Jordan's only official driver at the moment, it was unlikely to have been anyone else.

The EJ13, unliveried and devoid of Jordan's trademark vivid yellow paintwork, looked sleek and menacing with its unadorned matt black bodywork. The team heads to Barcelona next week to give the car its first shakedown test starting on January 20th.

Jordan has yet to confirm a second driver or a launch date, although the team said previously that these questions would be answered after the EJ13 had its first test. The Silverstone based squad has also yet to announce a new title sponsor after losing Deutsche Post last year.

Which driver will line up alongside Fisichella is anybody's guess -- the list of divers linked with Jordan has been extensive and ranges from the plausible to the ludicrous. Despite persistent rumours, the team deny that any deal has been signed as yet.
