Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone has been named as a witness in the corruption trial regarding the former grand prix on the streets of Valencia.
Officials of the Spanish port city, having hosted Formula One races between 2008 and 2012, are facing charges of corruption, embezzlement and misappropriation.
Ecclestone and 13 other witnesses have been called by the Valencia superior court to give evidence.
The investigation, which started at the end of last year, involves the former president of the Valencia government Francisco Camps and former motorcycling world champion Jorge Martinez 'Aspar', a shareholder in Valmor Sports, the race promoters.
Ecclestone, 84, will testify "either personally or by videoconference".
