Five-time motorcycling world champion Mick Doohan will join the stewards' panel for this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.
The Australian will join Paul Gutjhar and Radovan Novak in the panel for the Sepang event.
Doohan, 49, retired from competition at the end of the 1999 season.
The motorcycling legend, who has never competed in car racing, drove a Formula One car in 1998, when he tested for the Williams team at Barcelona.
The test ended when he crashed into the barriers.
