Juan Pablo Montoya is looking forward to a good race at this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix and thinks Williams has a decent chance of victory. Last year the Colombian finished second to team mate Ralf Schumacher, in what was the first ever one-two finish for Williams.

Montoya narrowly missed out on winning the Australian GP when he spun and handed the lead, and the victory, to McLaren's David Coulthard. "I made the mistake and I had to pay for it. It was my fault," he explained ruefully.

Despite that, Williams certainly looked competitive and Montoya is ready for another chance at Sepang: "This wide track suits our car," he said of the Malaysian circuit. "I look forward for a really good race. Based on last year's performance, Williams have a decent chance. The car is good."

With Ferrari unsettled at Melbourne, McLaren was the threatening team and Montoya is thinking about the Woking squad and Ferrari, although he is aware of the danger from team mate Schumacher: "Ralf will be a big threat. But at the moment, I will be more concerned about Ferrari and McLaren than Ralf."

With all the variables to take into account in the next race, such as strategy and the Malaysian heat, Montoya is not about to predict the outcome. But the heat doesn't bother him and he's looking forward to a good race.

"I can't tell you figures and numbers," he said. "We'll see how it goes, then maybe we'll have something to talk about on Sunday afternoon. The sun is okay for me. I love the heat and this is a good circuit. It's going to be a good race. But as I said, we'll just have to wait till after the race on Sunday. Then we'll know how the race went."
