Bernie wins court case

Bernie C Ecclestone has won his court case against the organisers of the planned Korean Grand Prix. Sepoong Engineering Construction Co Ltd was granted rights to a GP from 1998 to 2002. When the race failed to materialise, Bernie's FOA took up the credit notes it had, totalling some £7.5m (apx $12m). UK courts have ruled he is entitled to the money.

Briatore back in at Benetton

Agence France Presse is reporting that "Beautiful Flavio" is back at Benetton as part of Renault's purchase of the team. He is returning as director and is to "oversee development of the car's chassis" as of this weekend. AFP describes him as "Good looking, with an all-year round suntan albeit with silver-tinted hair he is is happy to be photographed smoking cigars - though not in the pit lane - often with supermodels such as Naomi Campbell on his arm."
