Circuit of The Americas adds concert venue to race facility

Circuit of The Americas today announced that it has entered into a booking agreement with Live Nation, the world’s largest live music and entertainment company, to bring a variety of major concerts to the Circuit’s newly named "The Tower Amphitheater."

The open-air amphitheater will be located at the base of Circuit’s signature 251-foot observation tower and will be ready in early 2013, prior to the start of the spring-summer amphitheater season. “Circuit of The Americas is pleased to work with Live Nation to bring popular, top-selling artists to perform at our world-class facility,” Circuit President Steve Sexton said. “Austin is the ‘Live Music Capital of the World,’ and we’re excited to contribute to our hometown’s proud music tradition through our collaboration with Live Nation.”

“The Tower Amphitheater is going to provide artists and their fans a truly amazing backdrop for live performances,” said Bob Roux, Co-President of North America Concerts for Live Nation. “Austin’s legacy will always be its support for live music, and it’s this city’s world-renowned enthusiasm for concerts that sets the bar for the rest of the country. We are extremely proud and truly honored to have the opportunity to be a part of this incredible venue.”
