Feleipe Massa and Nick Heidfeld finished ninth and 12th respectively in their Sauber Petronas C21s in today's Canadian Grand Prix after software problems caused both to receive penalties for speeding in the pit lane.

Nick Heidfeld:

"In the beginning my car felt very good and I was having no problem staying ahead of Fisichella. After my stop I got held up in traffic and then I learned of my first speeding penalty, a drive through. I got another one as I left the pits on that occasion, and this time it was a 10s stop and go for the second offence. What else is there to say?"

Felipe Massa:

"I had the same technical problem as Nick, and also to begin with I was not happy with my differential setting but adjusted that from the cockpit. In between penalties the car was running really well, so altogether it was a frustrating afternoon."

Willy Rampf (Technical Director):

"This was a very disappointing race for us, as fifth place was a realistic goal. Unfortunately both cars were afflicted by a software problem with their pit lane speed limiters. They worked properly on the entry to the pit stops, but not when the drivers exited. We are currently investigating the cause."

Team Sauber Petronas will be testing at Mugello from Tuesday to Thursday this week in preparation for the GP of Europe next week.
