RAHAL SET TO MAKE FORMULA ONE BROADCAST DEBUT ON SUNDAY

HILLIARD, OH . . CART FedEx Championship Series team owner and three time PPG Cup Champion Bobby Rahal will make his F1 broadcasting debut on Sunday, when he serves as a color commentator for the Speedvision network's live coverage of the Canadian Grand Prix. Rahal will team with Derek Daly and Jeremy Dale for the Speedvision broadcast of the race live from Montreal, Quebec.

"Broadcasting has always intrigued me but has never been a primary career goal," said Rahal. "When the opportunity to work this race as a broadcaster came up I decided to take advantage of Speedvision's offer and enjoy the experience. I have no plans to pursue broadcasting as a career but who knows what doors will open in the future."

Speedvision is a 24-hour cable network specializing in automotive, motorcycle, aviation and marine programming. Speedvision is the only US network to carry the entire Formula One season - races and qualifying- live. Now in its fourth year of existence, Speedvision reaches over 20 million homes in the United States.

The Canadian Grand Prix will air live on Speedvision beginning at 12:30 PM EST on Sunday, June 13.

Rahal and his Team Rahal Champ Car drivers Max Papis (Miller Lite Ford-Cosworth/Reynard) and Bryan Herta (Shell Ford-Cosworth/Reynard) will compete in the next stop of the FedEx Championship Series at Portland International Raceway in Portland, Oregon on Sunday, June 20.
