Renault team principal Flavio Briatore wants his team to win another championship and has targeted 2005 to achieve it. He is also on the lookout for someone 'special' like Michael Schumacher to help Renault along the way.

Jenson Button has been the subject of much speculation recently and may not be with the team next year -- it's thought that Briatore wants test driver Fernando Alonso in a race seat and Button has admitted he has been in talks with other teams.

Button, however, would like to stay with Renault and recently said he'd rather take a pay cut than move elsewhere. Briatore said no decisions have been made regarding driver line up for the team next season but he will do whatever he sees fit, even if it's unpopular.

"I am not in this business to be popular," he said. "If a tough decision has to be made for the benefit of the team's future success, I will take it. I believe we have been fair with Jenson. We gave him a chance. Yes, he has raised his game but so has the team."

"Renault has one object in mind, to win another world championship. We have set a 2005 target. I am looking for someone special like Schumacher was a decade ago. I got enormous satisfaction from Michael's success because I took a lot of criticism at the time I parted company with Roberto Moreno to make way for him. It was worth the complaints and I was proved right."
