Ralph Firman was taken to the medical centre after a big crash in the first Saturday practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Fifteen minutes into the session the Jordan appeared to suffer a rear wing failure approaching turn four and Firman lost control.

The car went backwards off the track at around 150mph, at turn five, and impacted heavily with the tyre barrier, which was badly damaged along with the Jordan. Firman was assisted from the cockpit by marshals but managed to walk to the stretcher. He was taken to the medical centre then moved to hospital for further checks.

He appeared intact, although badly shaken, and it doesn't appear he has suffered any serious injury. The session was red-flagged due to the accident for nearly twenty minutes. Updates as news becomes available.
