Benoît Dupont named Renault Sport Technologies’ Motorsport co-ordinator

Formerly its Technical Circuit Manager, Benoît Dupont has been made Renault Sport Technologies’ Motorsport Co-ordinator. He took up the post, which covers all track and rally competitions organised by Renault Sport Technologies, in the middle of September.

Aged 33 and a mechanical engineer specialising in the automotive and transport industries, Benoît Dupont spent four years as a track and data engineer in Formula 3 and then Formula Renault 3.5 Series before joining Renault Sport Technologies in 2006.

After starting out as Renault Sport Technologies’ Technical Head of Single-Seaters, he took over the technical support and development of the Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula Renault 3.5 cars before becoming Technical Circuit Manager in 2010.

During his Renault Sport Technologies career Benoît Dupont has played a part in the creation and development of the 2008 and 2012 versions of the Formula Renault 3.5 and the 2010 version of the Formula Renault 2.0, as well as the new Clio Cup, which will make its competitive debut next season.

Benoît Dupont took up his new position at Renault Sport Technologies in mid-September.
