With the driver's title safely in Michael Schumacher's pocket already, Juan Pablo Montoya now considers Rubens Barrichello his main rival. Speaking to the press in his homeland, the Colombian said Barrichello would give him a hard fight and dismissed any threat from Williams team mate Ralf Schumacher.

"I see Rubens as my main rival," Montoya said. "He has the better car and I will have to fight hard against him in these races. Then there's Ralf; but he doesn't worry me."

Montoya is not unduly worried about winning one of the remaining races of the season and said even having pole position is not always an advantage: "I am not worried about winning one of those races which remain," he said. "In motor racing nothing is certain; you win some, you lose some. You get on pole and then nothing happens, so it's sometimes better not to be first."

He should know; after five consecutive pole positions Montoya has yet to win a race. The Colombian is not optimistic about taking victory at the next race either. The Hungarian Grand Prix circuit in Budapest is not one of his favorites: "This is a track I don't like," he said of the Hungaroring. "I don't feel too good on it and I don't have great memories of it; in 2001 I came eighth driving a car which had clear problems with balance."
