The OrangeArrows team completed its two-day test at Silverstone this week with Enrique Bernoldi driving the single A23.

With a minor problem in Wednesday morning's session, which slowed progress slightly, and bursts of heavy rain over the circuit throughout the day, the team had little opportunity for dry running. Despite a day of rather intermittent time out on track, Enrique was able to complete 44 laps by the end of day one to add more miles to the A23. Although the circuit had mixed weather of sunshine and showers again for day two, the team had a relatively productive day's work.

Over the two days, the team worked with various suspension set-ups as well as working to increase engine reliability. Canada places heavy demands on the car's engine as well as brakes and the mileage gained here is important preparation. Software checks and damper development work were also carried out in advance of next weekend's race.

The team was pleased to complete the test, clocking up 87 laps over the two days and posting the 3rd fastest time of the day at the end of the test.

Chief Race Engineer, Graham Taylor:

"I think it would be fair to say we come away slightly frustrated and somewhat disappointed that we weren't able to complete our full test programme here: the weather certainly was a factor in that. We haven't been able to get as many laps done as we wanted due to the wet track, but we were able to carry out a lot of work for Cosworth which we are pleased about. The lap time today (Thursday) is the fastest we've ever been around Silverstone, so that really gives us some consolation for not being able to use the time here to its full."
