Pizzonia completed his first full day of testing Thursday, posting the third quickest time of the day ahead Pedro De La Rosa and 1999 World Driving Championship contender Eddie Irvine. Pizzonia's time stood up as the sixth best time over the course of the three days of testing. He completed over 80 laps of testing, running without he benefit of the newest iteration of Bridgestone tires. At the end of the three days, Pizzonia was only .04 sec off the pace of Benetton's number one driver Giancarlo Fisichella who was running the newer tire.
