Asked how he responded when Marussia offered him the seat, Jules Bianchi revealed: "I immediately said yes!"

The missing payment for Marussia seat was estimated to be EUR 6 million.

Jules Bianchi was signed by the Marussia team after Force India signed Adrian Sutil. It now looks like Marussia will have Ferrari engines in 2014. Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button claim that their respective team cars are off the pace.

The move follows the Team’s termination of Luiz Razia’s contract.

The numbers of available drivers for the Marussia F1 Team vacant seat continue to grow. Both Heikki Kovalainen and Vitaly Petrov were teammates with the Caterham team.

It appears that the rookie Luiz Razia will lose the ride with the Marussia team before he even stepped into the cockpit. Now that Adrian Sutil is with Force India, perhaps Jules Bianchi or Narain Karthikeyan could earn the apparent available seat.

It does appear that Adrian Sutil has landed the Sahara Force India ride. That would mean Jules Bianchi will remain the team's reserve driver ... or not ...since Marussia may now have a seat available.

After the first 3 days of Formula One testing in Barcelona, it was expected that the Luiz Razia would be in the cockpit of the Marussia MR02 on the final day. However word has it that the Brazilian will not replace Max Chilton.

Marussia rookie driver Max Chilton wishes his teammate was Timo Glock who has the needed experience. At the same time both Martin Whitmarsh (McLaren) and Monisha Kaltenborn (Suber) comment on the on-going issue of drivers paying for their rides.

Former Renault 'crash-gate' conspirator Pat Symonds was allowed to return to Formula One last year, and now he is with the Marussia team.

Luiz Razia was runner-up in last year's GP2 championship and the team's reserve driver in 2010 when it was called Virgin.

Just prior to the stat of the Formula One preseason testing, the Marussia F1 Team powered by Cosworth took the cover off their newest car at Circuito de Jerez in Spain.

While Timo Glock prepares for a DTM test, the focus shifts to which F1 driver will take the German's seat at Marussia. Apparently not Vitaly Petrov.

Playing in Petrov's favour is the desire to have a local driver on the grid when Russia hosts its inaugural grand prix in 2014.

The 21-year-old rookie is replacing his Mexican countryman Sergio Perez at Telmex-backed Sauber next year.
