"I will approach Turn 1 at the fastest speed I will achieve on any circuit this year, at 350 kph. Braking for Turn 1 is extremely difficult because not only do I have to reduce my speed by 280 kph right down to 70 kph, but as I am running very light on downforce, every small bump tends to upset the car. I enter the right-hand part of the chicane at 70 kph in 1st gear, and take the left-hand part at a similar speed, holding first."
"Turn 3, the Curva Grande, is in fact easily flat. I will enter at around 295 kph in 5th gear and exit at around 330 kph in top. By the time I get to the second chicane, I will have reached 335 kph in top gear. The second chicane is slightly faster than the first, with Turn 4 taken at 100 kph and Turn 5 at 120, both in 2nd gear."

As soon as the car is straight, I will grab 5th gear to start the run down to the Parabolica."
