A full busy Robert Doornbos confirms rumours that said he is going to test with Team Arden at Jerez, next 5 and 6 November. Dutch, regular F3 Euro Series driver, went to England to the FIA F3000 Champion team Arden to prepare his seat looking forward the two day test, where Robert will take the wheel of the Lola B02/50-Zytek (460hp) for his first time. Also Piquet Junior is going to test with team Arden at Jerez.
Doornbos is also looking ahead, in preparation of his travel to Macao and Korea, for the annual and awaited International F3 events. In the Asian races "Boss" will drive the Dallara-Opel of Team Menu Motorsport with which he raced in Spa and Brands-Hatch (British F3 Championship) and where he achieved a superb POLE POSITION (the first ever of the team and himself, this season), the fastest lap and a better 2nd final place. Robert had also a testing day in Snetterton, last week, where they tried some new and positive things on the car, preparing the set up for the race in Macao.
"I stayed a couple of days in England, last week" he commented "I made the seat with Arden F3000 team, for my test in the South of Spain -- 5 and 6 November -- and I had a really good impression about the team and the way they work. I'm really happy about the up-coming test with Arden and I'm training hard to make sure I'm in a good shape. Now just let see how the test is going".
" After two days I also went to Snetterton where I tested my team Menu Motorsport F3, in preparation of the Macao and Korea races. We tried very positive changes on the car, with the set up we are going to use for Macao, and we were very impressed about how the test went. I can't wait to get the plane for Hong Kong, but.. one thing at a time because now I have to focus on my Ghinzani F3 car for the last round of the F3 Euro Series in Magny-Cours, next weekend!".
