It is a track with very rich history. Norisring was a witness of many great battles in the DTM, Superturismo, or even the mighty C prototypes. Erik janis will get the first taste of this special place this weekend. He aims to at least keep the runner-up position in the rookie standings and he also hopes to score the first overall points.

The Mercedes-bens junior driver currently lies second in the rookie standings just one point behind the leader. The German Monaco, how is the track sometimes nicknamed, host the fourth round out of the ten.

The young Czech from the Mucke motorsport team knows very well that Norisring is, like Pau, a street track but with completely different profile. While the Franch track is very tiwsty, Norisring is mainly about the straights.

Norisring is 2.3 kilometres long and offers one long stright, two hairpins and one double corner around the mighty Steintribune and that's basically it. We can not forget to mention driving on the pavement alongside the well and barriers are everywhere. Nurnberg has been hosting races since 1947 and it always brings exceptional atmosphere. Approximately 150 000 fans from the whole Europe come here every year.

Erik Janis: "Another new track and again completely different to previous tracks. It is obvious that the key at Norisring is the top speed. It is very different comparing to last race at Pau. We will race with the minimum downforce this weekend. It will be important to manage well slipstreaming. I hope that I will be able to use it to my advantage. Especially in the qualifying. We tried to simulate the conditions t Oschersleben. I want to keep my position at the shard end in the rookie standings and hopefully add some points in the overall standings."

Peter Mucke, Team Principal: "Norisring is another new track for Erik and moreover, it is a very specific and difficult circuit. I believe that Erik can score points in both races and also get back to the lead in the rookie championship."
