Eight row for Erik Janis at Hockenheim

Erik Janis is going to start tomorrow's F3 Euro Series race from the 8th row. He set 16th time in the qualifying and was seventh among rookies, where he is leading the standings. The Mucke Motorsport driver had troubled free practice because he had damaged wheel and track rod in the front. The Mercedes Benz junior driver now hopes for a bit better fortune in the race.

Erik Janis: "Unfortunately I did not manage to meet my aim which was to be within top 10 in the qualifying like I had done last time at Le Mans. I had a strange problem with car during the free practice. I had damaged wheel and track rod in the front but I have no idea why. There was no collision, nothing. The car was nervous and vibrated a lot and I did not have a chance to try it properly. The qualifying was about to dig deep to put a lap together. Hopefully I will have more luck tomorrow."
