Antonio Giovinazzi presents his new season in the European FIA Formula 3 Championship together with his new team. Jagonya Ayam with Carlin is the English-Indonesian organization which will race with three drivers. Among them also Giovinazzi, who stands a good chance to achieve great results. Giovinazzi drove a Ferrari F430 for the Asian press at the circuit of Sentul.
Antonio Giovinazzi, at the moment, is touring Indonesia, the country of all the team sponsors, to take part in a series of promotional events. The events are taking place both downtown in Jakarta and on the racetrack of Sentul. “There’s the precondition to achieve great results” – said Giovinazzi during the press conference in the headquarters of the sponsor KFC fast food chain. “This year we will make the most of the experience we gained last season with Sean Gelael - who is more than a simple team-mate for me; I regard him as a foster-brother –. Sean and I proved it during our first practice in Valencia, where we had the first contacts with the technicians of Carlin Motorsport. We immediately felt at ease with them, as shown by the results we scored already during the first laps.” In fact, Giovinazzi managed to remain always among the fastest drivers. “I’m looking forward to the day when I can get back on track again “ – he continued – “to compete against the other drivers. This is my goal and this is why I keep training on and on. The appointments in April are going to be very demanding: first a double session of collective tests, at the Hungaroring and at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Then the Championship opening event in Silverstone, all in the first three weeks of the month. I, Sean and Tom need to be fit and ready.”
The presentation continued on track, on the circuit of Sentul, where Giovinazzi, Gelael and Blomqvist were the celebrity spokepersons for the Ferrari F430 Competizione Indonesia Series, promoted by the sponsor DMS Investama. Just to keep training, the three drove several laps behind the wheel of the cars prepared for the Asian series, who has 30 Ferraris ready for its 2014 season.
