David Wall and his team have been forced out of the Malaysian Merdeka Millennium Endurance 12 hour race in Sepang before the race even started.
"I am gutted not to have been able to compete in the race this weekend," David said.
"The team were running really well together and were generally happy with how the car felt in the lead up to qualifying.
"We ran comfortably in the top ten during the first two sessions but a mechanical problem forced us to sit out the third and final session meaning that we would have to start at the back of the grid for the race.
"We were still hopeful that we could work our way to the front of the pack during the 12 hour race. Unfortunately, after qualifying we found further problems with the car that could not be fixed before the race, forcing us to withdraw from the race.
"I am really disappointed that I was not able to reward my new sponsors, friendster.com and mol.com, for the commitment and belief they have shown in me, I thank them for their support in getting me to Malaysia this weekend and look forward to hopefully working with them again.
"I must now put this weekend's disappointment behind me and focus on my preparation for my role with Wilson Security Racing in the V8 Supercar endurance races."
