RML's sportscar team are pleased to confirm their driver line-up for this year's Spa 24 Hours which will see the team's regular FIA GT Championship drivers, Mike Newton, Tommy Erdos, Miguel Ramos and Chris Goodwin, contest the race in car No. 7.

The team decided to pool the experience of their four regular drivers to create one very strong car. Ray Mallock commented "With our regular drivers contesting the race in one car we are eliminating some of the risks of having a driver who is unknown to both the car and the team. This driver line-up puts us in a strong position for a good race result".

Three drivers who have close links to both RML and the FIA GT Championship will drive the second car. Ray Mallock, RML's Managing Director, who successfully raced in World Sportscars in the 1980's and recently competed in the Motor Racing Legends Group C race at Le Mans will be joined by his son Michael and AD Holdings Director Adam Wiseberg.

Michael Mallock's most recent experience of GT racing includes podiums in last years British GT Championship and FIA Sportscar entries in 2001/2. Adam who used to race MGs and Formula Fords is best known for his success in historic rallying circles and is making his debut at this level. He successfully completed the 24 Hours of Nurburgring at his first attempt in 1999.

Preparations for Spa continued last week with a two day test at Pembrey, UK. Tommy Erdos drove one of the team's Saleens testing various suspension, tyre and aero options. Despite frustrations with the changeable weather the team made good progress and were also able to prepare components for the Spa event. Adam Wiseberg was also present at the test and made his debut in the Saleen, completing a number of laps to familiarise himself with the car in preparation for next weeks race.
