Tomas Enge's debut at the famous 24 hours Nurburgring race was influenced by several collisions caused by other cars. Together with Karl Wendlinger, Robert Lechner and Stefan Mucke finished way down in the field after they lost nearly half of the race with repairs of their Aston Martin DBRS9. The car was damaged few times after hits from others. They started the race on the classic track seventh in the field of 230 cars.

Tomas Enge:

"Our crew was a new one and it was also a very hard race for us. Especially due to the fact that we paid price after others hit us. Te decisive moment was a hit from one of the Feistas at the beginning of the marathon. It was only the third stint of the race and Stefan was behind the steering wheel. He got a hit directly to the wheel. We lost a lot of time and unfortunately we had other incidents as well. Once again there were caused by competitors who were not paying enough attention. The car also not worked that well like before the clash. All in all we lost almost half of the race due those problems. I did only two stints which mean two and half hours. When we realized that we had no chance in the race we took it as a big test towards next year. I will stay at the track till the evening, I want to watch the biggest single-seater race on the world -- Indy 500. I will go home only after its finish."
