TWO FORD GT CARS FOR MARC VDS AT SPA 24 HOUR
Less than a day after the decision to put the program with the Mustang GT3 on hold, the Marc VDS Racing Team announces it will enter two Ford GT (in GT3-spec) in the next edition of the Spa 24 Hours.
"Martin Bartek, our partner and constructor of our two Ford GT in the GT1 World Championship came to visit us after we announced our decision regarding the Mustang", Marc van der Straten smiled. "He put two Ford GT at our disposition, the cars should arrive in our workshop shortly. One of the cars will even participate in the Test Day next Wednesday in Spa!"
"Of course this is wonderful news!", an enthusiastic Eric De Doncker adds. "The whole team felt very down yesterday, but today the motivation is completely back. This was a very nice gesture of Martin Bartek and Marc van der Straten appreciates it fully. He is relieved as well, because now we can fully respect our commitments towards our partners, our fans, but also the RACB and RACE, the organisers of the race. He will not regret this choice, but we are still eagerly waiting on our come-back with the Mustang."
The driver trio's will be Eric De Doncker, Renaud Kuppens en Markus Palttala on the #98 car and Bas Leinders, Maxime Martin and Marc Duez on the #99 car.
