The Scot will line up alongside British GT team-mate Andrew Howard and sporstcar stalwarts Phil Dryburgh and John Gaw in an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 for the event at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.

Over 60 cars are expected to line up on the grid for the race, with some of the world’s top endurance drivers already confirmed on the entry list.

While it will be the Fifer’s first 24 hour race he is looking forward to competing against the best in the business around the 7km of the historic track.

“This is a really exciting opportunity to test ourselves against some of the big guns at the top level of endurance racing in Europe,” said Adam.

“We raced at Spa in the overseas round of the British GT championship last year and finished on the podium, but this is another huge step up and when you read the entry list the quality in the field is incredible.

“Ultimately it’s events like this one and the 24 Hours of Le Mans where we’d all like to be racing, so I can’t wait to experience it and it’s a great chance to show what I can do against drivers and teams at this level.”

As well as being Adam’s maiden 24 hour race distance the event will also mark another first in his career on a more personal note.

“It’ll be nice to be racing alongside Phil Dryburgh, he’s a close personal and family friend and has helped me a lot over the years in my racing career, but this will actually be the first time I’ve ever shared a car with him. To be taking on a really tough event like this with guys you know well like Phil, Andrew and John is great, as you know their strengths and that you can all work together as a team.”
